Removing barriers to cycling: disabled people and cycling

Disabled people’s charity Wheels for Wellbeing will be our guest speakers at online meeting at 7.30pm on Thursday 16 July.

Lambeth-based national charity Wheels for Wellbeing will talk about the freedom bikes and safer streets offer many disabled people and the charity’s Director, Isabelle Clements, will answer your questions.

Get involved and help improve conditions for walking and cycling in Lambeth

The meeting at 7.30pm on Thursday 16 July also includes our annual general meeting.

There’s lots going on so it’s a great time to get more involved.

In the last few weeks low traffic neighbourhoods by the Oval and around Railton Road have started, with more coming soon around Ferndale Road, Tulse Hill and Streatham Hill. Many locals are already seeing the benefits but one or two drivers are pushing back. At the moment a lot of these schemes are only temporary.

You don’t need any experience or qualifications, just an interest in promoting cycling in Lambeth and a few hours you can spare each month. To find out more email Colin and Simon, current Chairs of Lambeth Cyclists.

Even if you can’t join us at the meeting do let us know how you can help!

How to join the meeting

Members of Lambeth Cyclists (London Cycling Campaign members in Lambeth) should have received an email with the meeting access details.

If you haven’t received the details by email, just contact us and we’ll send you a link. You don’t have to be a member to attend – anyone interested in cycling or healthy streets in Lambeth is welcome. We have introduced this extra step to reduce the likelihood of obscene hacking.
