Streatham Wells and Brixton Hill LTN designs announced

The Brixton Hill and Streatham Wells Low Traffic neighbourhoods have both moved to the next stage of implementation.

Both of these LTNs were originally announced back in 2020 with the COVID transport plan, but like the schemes that year they form part of the boroughs overall Transport Strategy (which we summarise and link to in our ‘Vision for Lambeth’ pages). Engagement for these two started a year ago when residents of the area were invited to share their issues and ideas. That input has fed into the designs we’re now seeing.

The first five LTNs have all now been confirmed as permanent and work to design and upgrade the temporary filters with permanent materials has begun (with the first in place on Railton Road and work underway on Shakespeare Road)
