Lambeth Cyclists architecture ride report: 24 September 2011: Cubitt

Our September architecture looking at the work of Thomas Cubitt was enjoyed by 20 cyclists on a glorious sunny day.

Starting at Buckingham Palace, Cubitt built the East wing, we progressed through the wealthiest parts of London and then down the social scale! From Belgravia to Pimlico to Battersea and Clapham we saw the legacy of Cubitt in all its white stucco glory, ending with a drink at our old meeting place the Bread & Roses pub, which was built by Cubitt in 1846!
