Lambeth Cyclists architecture ride: 24 September 2011: Cubitt

Thomas Cubitt – master builder, social campaigner, friend of royalty, almost forgotten!

Cubitt house in Pimlico on us for a short ride exploring the legacy of Thomas Cubitt.

Cubitt was a Clapham resident who became one of Londons most prolific and influential 19th century builders and architects but who is barely known today.

Come and discover how his vision links such varied places as Buckingham Palace, Pimlico, Clapham, Bloombury, Blackfriers Bridge, Belgravia and Battersea Park.

Lunch hopefully in Battersea Park so bring a picnic or buy lunch there.

Finishing at a Pub some of you may know in Clapham…
